Aww, I love it when they do that. My roommate’s mare has started doing the same thing with the neighboring gelding, right over the fence. Which doesn’t make a lot of sense because she has another horse actually in her paddock with her, and typically they both consider the gelding their arch-nemesis. 😀
Perhaps the horse across the fence is more skilled with his teeth 😉 Ours will do the same thing….and there are multiple others in their own pasture. Silly creatures sometimes.
